Product details

Moderate nutty and stone-fruit esters. Bright beers easily achieved within days without filtration. For production of cask-conditioned bitters, ESB and mild ale. Alcohol tolerance approximately 9% ABV. Apparent attenuation: 67-71%. Flocculation: high. Optimum temp: 64°-72° F

From a well-known and highly regarded brewery in Keighley, West Yorkshire, England. Full chewy malt flavor and character, but finishes dry, producing famously balanced beers.

*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs will all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

Very Good Yeast

For a change I pitched this Yorkshire into a batch of NB's Roggenbier all grain. Let me tell you, this yeast works very well with rye! I bet it makes an amazingly awesome Rye-P.A.! I also made a starter and pitched it into a NB "Kama Citra" all grain kit. At this moment this combination is now my most favorite I.P.A.! I really like this yeast!

Used for a Holiday Brown Ale with Fruit

I got the results I had hoped for. The description was right on. I used this in a Holiday Brown Ale with dried cherries, cranberries, and prunes. The yeast really brought forward the fruit flavors.

Very good!

I used this to make a Nut Brown and pitched onto the yeast cake for an ESB. It gives a great dry and malty flavor and works like a beast. My bucket lid blew off overnight on the second ferment! Enjoy!
