Product details

Moderate nutty and stone-fruit esters. Bright beers easily achieved within days without filtration. For production of cask-conditioned bitters, ESB and mild ale. Alcohol tolerance approximately 9% ABV. Apparent attenuation: 67-71%. Flocculation: high. Optimum temp: 64°-72° F

From a well-known and highly regarded brewery in Keighley, West Yorkshire, England. Full chewy malt flavor and character, but finishes dry, producing famously balanced beers.

NOTE: During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

Great English profile

Not quit the attenuation I was hoping for, could be user error

I use this for a Nitro Milk Stout and it performs flawlessly every time 😋

Go to English Strain

I make true cask ale and run a beer engine off pin casks with a breather. I have tried most of the usual English strains. This is my go to strain now. This Timothy Taylor strain floccs like crazy and is perfect for dropping brite after the cask vents and conditions. It also gives a well balanced English profile of full malt, but dry finish. Classic Brit esters of stone fruit and some nut, but no need for diacetyl rest.

GREAT English Profile

I used this in a very simple bitter recipe and pitched directly - no slurry. Fermented at 67 degrees for 2 weeks with no diacetyl rest, and the flavors are spot on. Clean enough for the Golden Promise to shine through but it has just the right amount of esters you'd expect in an English session ale.

Yeast

Yeast was very easy to activate and use. Results were great.
