I can see where this book is a handy reference/history guide to Yeast. But,. for the average :Yeasty-Wanna-be" it is very over the top.

This is a good book for giving you the ins and outs of yeast and how it works in beer, ale and mead production. Why different yeast work differently to different sugars and proteins. Get it, it is really good for upping your skills.

A must read for anyone interested in brewing better beer. I don't make it through a lot of books but I read this one from cover to cover! My wife was amazed. You will realize how important it is to treat those little beasties properly, and how to do it! There's even a guide on how to start your own yeast lab... Someday...
