Product details

It's really simple. Yeast needs oxygen. Sure, you can shake that carboy or bucket of wort, but there's only so much oxygen you can get into wort using air alone. The Oxygenation Kit 2.0 is much quicker and easier than agitation. Give your yeast the oxygen they need to start fermentation fast and finish strong. Includes 16" aeration wand with 0.5 micron tip, tubing, and oxygen regulator.

Effortlessly infuse wort with pure oxygen in less than a minute, maximizing the level of dissolved oxygen to dramatically decrease lag time and yield vastly improved yeast attenuation. Equipped with a 16" aeration wand, the Oxygenation Kit 2.0 ensures oxygen infusion into even the deepest pockets of your fermentor.

While beneficial for all brews, oxygenation is as important as yeast pitching rate for high-gravity beers and lagers. Provide the yeast with an optimal fermentation environment to ensure they produce the optimal brew.

Oxygenator

It took me shaking the carboy on 274 beers before I purchased an Oxygenator from Northern Brewer and trying it. I bought a tank of O2 at Fleet Farm and screwed it onto the wand. I put 40 seconds worth the pure O2 into my cooled wort in the fermenter before adding the yeast. Vigorous Fermentation started hours before it usually does. I will know in 6 weeks if the proof is in the taste. So far I’m satisfied with my purchase. Curt in DePere

Adding this step to brew day

As I experiment with this tool I have seen a lift in my ABV. The factor I need to figure out is the actual duration of time I should open the valve
On the bottle. I’ve tried 30 sec and 40 sec and may have added another 1% to the ABV. To the beer I’ve brewed. More testing is needed to dial in the correct amount of time.

Oxygenator Kit 2.0

Works great, needed two of us to get it going but really bubbles up. We are looking forward to trying the first batch we used it on, couple more weeks to wait.

Seems to work fine

Don't sanitize the lines as the ball in the gauge gets stuck from the moisture. The regulator makes a standard small tank top heavy but absent that the process of adding oxygen seems to have improved the fermentation results greatly.

Game Changer

No matter how much rocking of the fermenter I ever did in the past gave the yeast the love they needed. Just attach an oxygen tank (fairly inexpensive disposable ones are available at Lowe’s and other hardware shops) to your Oxygenation Kit 2.0 and your fermentation process will be off to a great start!
