This golden-amber beer sports balanced hops and malt, noble aromas, and a clean finish.
Brewers, patriots, countrymen: lend us your tankards. This golden-amber beer sports balanced hops and malt, noble aromas, and a clean finish. A complex but approachable mix of spicy German hops and ripe-fruit-sweet caramel malt interweave across your nose and palate from the first whiff to the last sip. An excellent session beer that still has enough going on in the glass for contemplative sipping if the mood should take you.

It's technically not an ale, but we use Wyeast California Lager yeast in this recipe so you can ferment it at ale temps and still achieve a clean, lager-like result.

John Q. is right for you!

I've made this brew three times now, and I will continue to do so. It is on my early summer rotation of beers to make, with its great balanced flavors.

Amazing as always

No complaints about any product I have bought with Northern Brewer! This beer is just one more delightful and delicious product I have purchased. Definitely top ten!!!!!

Marblehead Lager

Everyone loves this beer. Great taste and color. I did sample one after only 1 week of carbonation and it came out flat. After a second week in the bottle the pour was excellent with a nice, thick head.

Tasty, Easy, Crowd Pleaser

I used the Kviek Lutra yeast and brewed in a basement at 68-72ish degrees in a Catalyst conical fermenter and it turned out *amazing*. A great easy drinking beer. I kegged it and served it when guests came over and it was a hit with the beer snobs and the Miller-lite crew alike. It wasn't *technically* a lager, but darn close enough that it's an amazing option for lager-lovers who don't have fermentation temperature control.
