Product details

THE authentic pilsner strain from a pilsner producer in the Czech Republic. Somewhat dry with a malty finish, this yeast is best suited for European pilsner production. A thorough diacetyl rest is highly recommended after primary fermentation is complete and before the lagering phase.

*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

Nice and dry

Be prepared for a slow start. But then it kicks in and attenuates well.
Nice finish dry and neutral.
CAUTION. For anyone who ferments inside living areas this yeast off gasses intense sulfur!

Slow start

It took 48 hours for this yeast to become active in my 72F yeast starter. It is new yeast shipped with an ice pack and outdoor temperature has been mild. I hope it takes off quicker when I pitch it for my czech pilsner.
