*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs will all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

I like it

I’m using this yeast to ferment the Bourbon Barrel Porter. I made a 1L starter with it because the package says it can only ferment a 5 gallon batch with OG of 1.065. No issues, but I did get nervous about contaminating the starter bc it smelled kind of like vinegar. But after all was said and done, the brew came out great. I fermented in the low to mid 60 def for a few days. I was impressed that the yeast has a temp range all the way down to 55 deg, so I didn’t worry about it getting to cold. It fermented for about 5 days before slowing or stopping, so I took it out of the fridge and brought it inside to finish up in the low to mid 70 deg range.
I would recommend the yeast for sure. Fermented clean and high flocculation. Just recommend doing a starter if you are brewing anything over 1.060 OG with it.

Used in an imperial stout. Did a two stage starter and aerated with oxygen. Fermentation was fast and large. OG 1.082 taken to 1.015. Fermentation temps 63-67.
