Yeast Nutrient is a mixture of diammonium phosphate and food-grade urea that nourishes yeast, ensuring that it remains healthy throughout fermentation.
Add one teaspoon per gallon recommended for wine, mead, and cider.
For the yeast nutrient, all pictures of product showed it in small plastic container, came in small plastic bag, wished product was same as pictured. Haven’t used it yet, sure it works the same, small inconvenience but inconvenient nonetheless
A must have for anything your brewing
Yeast nutrients are necessary to keep your yeast healthy and producing at top speed, which is critical during primary fermentation. I’ll also use other yeast-loving additives such as Ghostex (dried yeast hulls) DAP, and Diastatic malt powder.
Yeast need the nutrient to go with it's desire for sugar.
