Made from 100% white sorghum grain, this gluten-free syrup provides proteins and amino acids necessary for yeast nutrition, head retention, and body along with color and flavor. Mild flavor and pale color (2° -6° Lovibond ) with a yield of 37 ppg. Our malt jugs are made from BPA-free plastic.

Northern Brewery"s Sorghum extract syrup is a wonderful gluten free alternative to barley extracts and behaves about the same. Would recommend to anyone making gluten free beer.

I have used this a couple of times to make an extract honey type Ale and it always turns out good. I have also used this in other beers and too make a yeast starter.

I have had great success using the Briess Sorghum Extract to make Gluten Free Beer, which is a necessity for me since I have celiac. Finding the right yeast was a bit more of a challenge but I found that the T-58 ale yeast has done admirably.
