Does not fit NB Keg

I was sent this lid as a replacement for my NB single keg system lid. The lid wouldn't hold a seal even after switching o-rings. The original lid that came with the keg system fortunately sealed. The clamp is different on the original versus this one. I would make sure you test this out on your keg to make sure it's compatible and not wait until kegging day to find out it's incompatible.

It helps to let the co2 pressure seal the lid. To do this hold the lid in place without snapping down the handle. While holding it in place turn on the co2 and it should seal in a few seconds. 10-12 psi should be enough to do it but sometimes it can take close to 30psi. Once it seals from the pressure snap the lid handle down and adjust the pressure. This will seal about 99% of kegs out there.

Conundrum Kit and delivery time

Looking forward to making Conundrum again. Delivery time was longer than usual this time. In the past if I placed my order on Wednesday I received the delivery on Friday to brew on the weekend. This time the shipment didn't arrive until Monday. I ordered Wyeast this time, is it ok to have that in packaging over the weekend, unrefrigerated?

Hi Craig, The $7.99 Flat-rate deal ( I-Can-Wait-Flat Rate) gives us a flexible ship-out time, usually within a few days of the order being placed. Watch expected delivery times when ordering online, or request it on a certain date when ordering on the phone. The Wyeast should be fine, it was not in transit very long. If there's concern of it not being viable, you should activate it and see if it will inflate as normal. It's also a good idea to do yeast starters for liquid yeast, especially for ones delivered in the summer's heat. Have a good one! -Mike W, Northern Brewer
