Product details

Crystallized Grapefruit powder allows you to enjoy the taste of fresh-squeezed grapefruit in whatever you brew or ferment without the hassle of fruit or purees. Made from real grapefruit juice and oils, this grapefruit replacement can be used to enhance the flavor of beer, hard seltzer, wine, cider, or Kombucha.

Same great crystallized grapefruit powder used in our Grapefruit Pulpin and Ruby Grapefruit Hard Seltzer

Usage:
Recommended to be added at bottling or kegging to taste, 18 grams should be more than enough for most 5 gallon batches.
Add the crystallized citrus packet to 1 cup of water until dissolved. Heat to boiling briefly then add to bottling bucket or keg. Add a little at a time and taste until you are happy with the flavor level.

Good but weak

I read the reviews and noticed people mention that these flavors are weak. I just wanted a hint of flavor in a hefeweizen beer I made. I dosed it into a 64oz growler as if I was going to add this packet to a 5 gallon batch. The flavor was non existent. I doubled the amount and now its a very slight flavor. The flavor tastes very natural though not artificial like some extracts. Id do 2-3 of these if you want a good solid flavor in a 5 gallon batch.

Good flavor, however too subtle

I used the crystals in a five gallon batch of a seltzer I mad . Used only dextrose and reverse osmosis water. I used champagne yeast and buffered the water to allow the yeast to flourish. I put the crystals in a corny keg, then racked my seltzer into the keg. After carbonating and sampling it had excellent grapefruit flavor, but it is very subtle. I may try using 1.5 packets next time for a little stronger flavor. It is a very natural grapefruit flavor though.
