What's new on the G30:

Grain Basket Assembly:
The newly redesigned Perforated Edge Grain Basket on the G30³ features side wall perforations to improve wort flow and to prevent a stuck mash.
In addition to the redesigned grain basket, the new Rolled Edge Mash Plate filters the wort efficiently without warping. The new rolled edges mean that there is no need for silicone seals, making the plates much easier to install, remove, and clean.
The new grain basket and mash plate design means that there is no need for overflow pipework or a top plate, allowing for a hassle-free brew day.
Auto Reset Switch:
Lifting and reaching underneath the boiler to reset your electric homebrewing system is now a thing of the past! The new auto reset switch avoids needing a physical, manual switch to reset the system; ensuring homebrewers can quickly and easily resume their brew day if an unexpected reset is required.

Control box for heat and power control features:

Use the Connect Control Box in conjunction with the Connect App and Grainfather Brewing Community for the ultimate experience. Create recipes on the Grainfather Brewing Community, then sync them with the Connect App. The control box connects to your mobile device via Bluetooth for remote control. This allows you to multitask or simply relax while brewing and receive an alert for your next step.

Pump Features:

A 6 Watt, 1,800 RPM magnetic powered pump recirculates the wort through the grain bed for maximum efficiencies. The pump can be used during cooling to pump hot wort through a wort chiller. The pump also makes cleaning quick and easy by pumping the cleaner through the pipework. The magnetic drive pump was rigorously tested to ensure it meets the tough demands required of continuous brewing. The pump is concealed by a stainless pump cover, which is easy to open for direct access. A pump filter is fitted inside the Grainfather to prevent hops and grain from entering the pump or pipework, keeping the wort clear & preventing blockages.

Best single piece of equipment I’ve bought

I have brewed extract in the past. Have all the equip plus. No matter how exactly I followed the instructions they all came out mid to dark brown, and nothing close to good beer. Tolerable, not great, some foul. Knowing there are many “all in one” type systems out there I opted for the Grainfather G30v3. I’ve brewed two batches so far. One cream ale (which actually came out golden), and an IPA. Both turned out exceptional. Bot OG’s and FG’s were spot on. I bought a kegerator and am finally enjoying great home brewed beer at home! Some gripe it doesn’t get hot enough to boil. Again have only brewed twice but have had no problems. Thank you Grainfather and Northern Brewer.

Great Upgrade!

Awesome equipment that takes a lot of time and variables out of brewing. Able to walk away as It maintains a constant temperature instead of standing over a kettle for hours. Cleanup is also incredibly easy and the connection to the app is an added bonus

Not working on arrival

Contacted Northern brewery they referred me to the manufacturer. Manufacture took their sweet time working out the details for the replacement controller! Not impressed.

Grainfather G30

I completed my first brew of a NEIPA on my Grainfather G30 and fermented with dry hopping in the Grainfather fermenter using the grainfather glycol chiller. It was everything that I could of hoped for from a home brew complete system.
It was easy to develop the recipe on the grainfather app and the brew was super simple with the control system. I am really happy with the integration of the chiller, fermenter and tilt hydrometer in the app.
This batch of NEIPA was outstanding!!! I'm excited for my next brew!!! Northern Brewing delivered everything promptly.

GrainFather G3O changes the game!

I’ve been a home brewer for 15 years going from 5 gallon plastic tanks to 10, then to a larger mash tun, propane burner and so on. But brewing with the Grandfather G30 truly changed the game! My first brew day took almost half the time and the cleanup is simply amazing. The control app is logical and helps at every step of the day. Yes, it’s not cheap, but quality rarely is. My only problem now is where to store all the beer I want to brew on the Grandfather!
