Product details

Temperature control is one of the most crucial elements for producing a good quality beer. It needs to be regulated and stable throughout the whole fermentation process to ensure the yeast doesn't get stressed and ferments correctly to get the right flavor profile.

With the ability to individually power and control the temperature of up to four Grainfather Conical Fermenters, each with their own fermenting schedules, the Grainfather Glycol Chiller is the perfect addition to ensure craft brewery-like results.

With the addition of the Glycol Chiller, your system is operating at the ultimate level and you are even able to cold crash and lager. The cooling sleeve is located in between the two stainless steel walls of the Conical Fermenter which is then hooked up to the Glycol Chiller. Temperature is dialed into the digital temperature controller and the liquid travels through this sleeve, cooling the stainless steel which in turn cools the beer in the fermenter. The cooling sleeve never comes into contact with the beer, is completely concealed and does not need cleaning or sanitizing - a true innovation for a fermenter on this scale.

Please allow 1-3 weeks for delivery, as the Grainfather Glycol Chiller and Glycol ships directly from the vendor.

GF Glycol Chiller Exceeds Expectations

It was always my desire to move to a Grainfather fermenter and glycol chiller, and I had high expectations. What I wasn’t expecting was that it was ever better than anticipated. While instructions were fairly minimal, the glycol chiller was very easy to set up, especially with the help of online videos. Within minutes the chiller was up an running, and the pairing with the fermenter couldn’t be easier. Temperature control was precise. We had a short power failure after a storm during my fermentation period. I ran to check on the fermenter and chiller, and saw that temperature was maintained, as was the program for fermentation control. I have always loved brewing, and now it’s even better!

GRAINFATHER FERMENTER AND CHILLER

I purchased one fermenter and one chiller. Immediately made a batch of beer and it was awesome. The ability to hold the fermenting temperature within a degree of the desired temp made all the difference in the world. I am now going to purchase three more fermenters and be able to have four batches of beer working at virtually the same time. Really great equipment.

Just what I needed to get my fermenters temperature controlled

I was hesitant to spend the $ to get the chiller and had been making do with the pump connection and an ice bucket. But that had some serious drawbacks in summer temperatures, and I could never cold crash. With the chiller, I stepped up to two fermenters and now I know that I can keep both of them at exactly the temperature I want.
