Honey Kolsch All Grain Beer Recipe Kit
A variation on our extremely popular Kölsch recipe with the addition of honey and a new yeast strain for a lighter body and flavor. Like our original Kölsch kit, this recipe features a pale color, light body, and smooth mouthfeel. Honey adds subtle floral character and lightens the body by fermenting to dryness. Really nice as a summer brew for barbecues and picnics, or to wean your friends off watery mass-produced lagers.

Easy drinking summer beer, mine came out at 5.77%. I will make this again.
Honey was just enough not too sweet
Tastes excellent, visitors love it. Easy drinking beer. Not great with food - GREAT on a hot day. Definitely a session beer at my house.
Was looking for a good "go to" easy drinking beer for friends and family that don't get in to the "crazy stuff". Have done this All Grain kit 4 times now with consistency and success. Very light and drinkable. Often quoted as a "lawn mower" beer, but I would say it is far removed from the crud of "Lite" beers. Don't be fooled by the words "honey", I cannot pick up on it in the finished product, but feel it does add to a crisp finish. Find a spot to lager (take out shelves in a second fridge) as I feel it does add positively to the brew if left for two weeks to lager.Overall, I highly recommend you give it a try!
I brewed this as one of my first all grain recipes and was thoroughly impressed. Although I missed my OG by a little it still tasted great and both my wife and my mother said they thought it was pretty tasty. My mom actually had a couple pints. Pretty good for two Coors light drinkers. I will brew this again in the spring.
