Product details

This organic strain performs well at standard ale temperatures, but can be fermented in the lower temperature range to produce exceptionally crispness.
The industry standard, Flagship is an all-purpose strain loved for its extremely clean character. This strain performs well at standard ale temperatures, but can be fermented in the lower temperature range to produce exceptionally crispness. Flocculation is in the middle of the road and will typically require filtration or fining if a crystal clear beer is desired.

*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs will all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

Surprising Start

Bought this when my usual Wyeast was out of stock. Not necessary to start the day before brewing and active fermentation going before bedtime on brew day.

It was my first Fermentation with Imperial and not sure if I'll use again. 200 billion yeast cells should have been more than enough for a 5gal batch of med strength. Kicked off a few hours after pitching and slowed within days. Seemed finicky with Temps.

Woah! Call me impressed.

I thought I had a bad batch. I kept watching my blow-off hose for bubbles and wasn't seeing anything. I thought, "great, my first stuck fermentation." Nope. These yeast are freaking rockstars. They chewed through 52 gravity points in 4 days! I had no idea that was even possible. I will definitely use this brand again.

My go to yeast for at least half of my ales. Try it . . . you’ll like it.
