Little big Mouth Bubbler Lid Woes!

Three stars because of lid! Love the easy access and convenient big mouth jars but hate the lids! Getting the lids to seal is a **** shoot! Three out of four lids sealed, one would not no matter what I did.

The ones that did eventually seal, two only required reasonable light tightening, one had to be tightened to the point where removing the lid was a pain.

A cheap food grade silicon gasket instead of a Styrofoam gasket would solve all the above issues.

I love these. Why? #1 the huge opening. Easy cleaning, easy mixing, easy to add fruit and brew bags. #2 the increased 1.4 gal capacity over 1 gal gives extra volume to compensate racking off the lees and still getting a full gallon+ of product

Perfect for racking mead

We needed to rack our mead and add strawberries. The wide mouth made it very easy.

Primarily used to produce mead. These were everything I had hoped for. Highly recommend over small mouth fermenters.

The product is great. It took 3 delivieries to get everything in 1 pc.
NOT the fault of Nor Brewer - definitely the shipping company. They literally crushed the first shipment. Even the second shipment had very similar damage signs on the box.
BUT Northern Brewer sent even a 3rd time to get me the items. And 3rd time was the charm.
Can't stress enough how AWESOME Northern handled the replacement process.
You can tell how good a company is by how they handle things that go wrong.
