Only reason for dropping a star is the shipping cost. It is crazy for something this small the shipping is almost as much as the product. Product works great and is what I needed but I don't want to have to buy a bunch of things I don't need to not get raked over the coals on shipping.

A big improvement over the original.
Works as had hoped it would. Improves sediment removal and yeast harvesting. You do need to press the soft seal into the groove otherwise it will leak badly.

This adapter is very much worth buying. Its makes it very easy to see when a trub dump is needed and having an attached mason jar can make it easy to either save the yeast or toss it. In my opinion, the best part is the ease of removal, cleaning and reattaching. I would recommend this adapter to anyone buying a fast fermenter.
