Brewed the Fruit Bazooka for second time because the first batch was AMAZING and This time I used some different hop varieties this time for the dry hopping to ‘experiment’ a little bit and the result was fabulous- terrific Hoo variety, smooth, fruity ... exactly as described and what I was hoping for.
Tried Julius hops in a NEIPA with galaxy and citrus and came out fantastic!
Recommended by Jake O'Malley for a hazy IPA. Well worth the money. Delicious.
The hops were fresh in the pouch, and lend a nice orange-apricot aroma. Julius is fairly mild for an American aroma variety, though. I also noticed that these hops had a lot of brown matter in them that honestly looked like sticks or plant matter. I frankly would not buy these again, mostly because I think you can achieve the orange-peach flavor from other, punchier aroma varieties.
Great hops! Very flavorful, really get an orange flavor out of the beer, with a subdued citrus.
