Off the Topper IIPA All Grain Beer Recipe Kit
Impossible to track down and destined to be drank from a can, this brew is a tribute to the infamous man with a head full of hops and the tenacious Alchemists that are its creators. Brew this elusive IIPA yourself with our recipe kit.
Intense hop aroma blows through with hurricane force, swirling up from a whirlwind of hazy liquid gold. Borne from a legendary Noraster, Off the Topper is a writhing tropical storm of fruity pineapple and dank piney-peach.
In a true work of sorcery, the Off the Topper IIPA beer kit creates synergy between Vermont yeast and an unprecedented flood of lupulin. Overcoming its intense origins, it is a rare, harmonious pint that is extreme only in its drinkability. Beneath the frothing, massive head lies a beacon of freshness and light in each pint. At the eye of the storm is a dry and crisp body. A complex and delicious Imperial IPA, Off the Topper balances bitterness with well-attenuated yeast that work together to weather the hurricane of hops.
Preparing a yeast starter is highly recommended when using the Vermont Ale Liquid Yeast. This will help reduce the lag time before fermentation begins.

This is seriously the best beer I’ve brewed yet. Also the most hops I’ve ever uses. Had a few friends taste test it and all have loved it. I highly recommend it!
I am always struck by the aging process. If you rush you get good beer, if you are able to have patience, you get a great beer. Each day a little more carbonation in the Keg and each day a better product. Do read the entire process before you start and plan your time. It is worth it.
Hops abound in this kit. Came out fantastic. It's a must if you're looking to brew a big hop beer. One recommendation, be sure to cold crash this prior to kegging or bottling. It was real hazy and i kegged it. Had to open the keg and put in grlatine after a few days of getting hazy draughr.. Cleared up just fine. A cold crash would have yielded a clearer beer from the keg.
Recognizing that we're in the middle of the Covid-19 quarantine, I nonetheless sent e-mail questions regarding the procedure for the Off the Topper all grain. Did not receive any responses to two different e-mails. No phone number appears on the website either. I just think is nobody is going to be available to respond to e-mails someone on the way out should have changed the information on the website touting availability of support and put a simple statement that no e-mails would be responded to.
I’ve never had the original so can’t compare, but as a stand alone brew this turned out really great! I was a bit freaked out using that many hops plus an extract??!! but in the end it turned out to be a really great brew! Not bitter like a NW ipa but definitely hoppy as you would expect. Kind of a fun recipe with all the additions plus dry hopping. Keeps you on your toes for sure. Well done guys
