Oktoberfest Extract Beer Recipe Kit
This famous German style is stronger than an everyday lager and is the fuel for Oktoberfest celebrations all over the world. The original pre-industrial Oktoberfest was called Märzenbier, brewed at the end of the brewing season in the spring to be lagered in caves all summer for fall and harvest festivities. Our kit will give you a full-bodied and elegant red-amber beer with a subdued German noble hop bitterness and complex malty profile that great all year round.
Due to the high starting gravity of this kit, we recommend pitching multiple packs of yeast or preparing a yeast starter for best results.

This was my first attempt at a lager after finally having an extra refrigerator to do the lagering step. It turned out much better than I could have imagined and is the best Oktoberfest I've had (and I've had a lot as it's one of my favorite beer style). It does take some patience as it took about 5 weeks to adequately condition in the bottles (at around 62 degrees) and it takes two months to lager in the fridge. But in my opinion it was well worth it. FYI, I used the Saflager dry yeast that was recommended.
This was my first lager. Managed to maintain 55 degrees during fermentation and lagered at 33 degree for two months. Just tried the end product and will definitely consider doing again. Worth the effort.
While not new to brewing, this was my first Northern Brewer Kit. This was very tasty, and my wife loved the smell through the house while brewing. A bit sweet, and quite strong. I just ordered another kit and I'm looking forwards to brewing it again soon.
Easily my favorite brewkit from any vendor.
Have not tried the brew yet. My only comment is that I believe the Ngoako said that no special equipment is needed for this kit. But I need a frig to chill the beer before bottling which it did not have. Beer is bottled but not ready yet. Hope this works as I made it for Christmas
Easy to brew! Long fermentation time but definitely worth the wait!
