Product details

This famous German style is stronger than an everyday lager and is the fuel for Oktoberfest celebrations all over the world. The original pre-industrial Oktoberfest was called Märzenbier, brewed at the end of the brewing season in the spring to be lagered in caves all summer for fall and harvest festivities. Our kit will give you a full-bodied and elegant red-amber beer with a subdued German noble hop bitterness and complex malty profile that great all year round.

Due to the high starting gravity of this kit, we recommend pitching multiple packs of yeast or preparing a yeast starter for best results.

Excellent Octoberfest beer

This was a great beer to make and enjoy. I talked with the guys at Northern Brewer and got a yeast that I was able to use for my purposes (I don't have the proper lagering equipment, but was able to keep the beer at 60°F). Turned out to be a great beer. Would like to make again

Oktoberfest

We haven't brewed a beer in a couple of years and were looking to get back into it. Because of the pandemic it was hard to get into our local homebrew supply store so we decided to try a kit. Though we have not yet tasted it, we still have a couple weeks before we could even bottle it, it was nice to have a kit were every ingredient was there and ready to go and the instructions were very easy to follow. We have already ordered another kit and cant wait to make it!

Target final gravity

I would like to see in all your instructions a final gravity target range for each kit.
I think it would be helpful for home brewers like me. My o.g. Was 1.061 and final is 1.031 which seems high to me.

The kit was easy to use. Still waiting for the lager time of two months before sampling. I may not be able to last that long.

Still in secondary

Kit was easy to brew, my first attempt at lagering. Update in a few months
