Product details

Produces beers with moderate esters and minimal phenolics. Expect apple, bubblegum, and plum-like aromas that blend nicely with malt and hops. This strain will finish dry with a hint of tartness. Use as an alternative to traditional German wheat strains.

*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

All of the Omega yeast I have used has been fresh and performed flawless. In my experience you get what you pay for and this produces a quality beer. The 029 has been used in several sour batches with amazing results

I used to be hooked on White Labs, but Omega is great--fast start!

Stopped brewing about 10 years ago. Started again with an electric BIAB system--first batch was Funktional Sour using Omega OYL029 Belgian Wheat along with their Lactobacillus blend and all I can say is that this is the best beer I have ever made.
