Omega Yeast OYL-200 Tropical IPA
A unique strain formerly classified as Brettanomyces but since found to be Saccharomyces. Produces a beer with tropical fruit characteristics of mango and pineapple, adding another dimension to the hops in your own Tropical IPA recipes. Can also be used to produce effervescence when bottle-conditioning. A distinctive yeast that will help your IPA stand out from the crowd.
*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

Used this to make the NB Fruit Bazooka IPA recipe and then collected yeast from that batch to make a hard cider with raspberries. High temperatures in my house (hello, July) accentuated the tropical fruity flavors and produced an excellent result both times! I always use a starter but it probably wasn’t necessary here. Will buy again!
I chose this yeast almost every time I brew a tropical ipa. Great fruit flavors are consistant every time.
