y'know, you try to plan your brews for the time of the year. here i am drinking a sweet stout in february. i should say delicious sweet stout. just what i was hoping for.

I made this choice with having had Milk stout once. I wasn’t sure ?? I would make this sweet Milk stout again. It a great body and smooth taste with a hint of chocolate and coffee. Highly recommend

Added 1 lb crystal malt and then an addition of 1 oz Cascade hops (60 min) to counter some of the sweetness. No mashout. Safale S-04 recovered yeast. 1.072 SpG original and 1.019 final ~ 7% ABV. Cold crashed by placing my fermenter out in the snow for 36 hours.Strong taste of bitter-sweet chocolate, black coffee, malted milk. Smooth mouthfeel. Slight sweet finish. Everyone is crazy for it. Would also make a great stout float with some quality vanilla icecream.
