Ideally suited for Scottish-style ales, and high gravity ales of all types. Apparent attenuation: 69-73%. Flocculation: high. Optimum temp: 55°-70° F

*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

I had a batch of Imperial Stout that remained in the secondary fermenter longer than I had intended, so I wasn’t sure the existing yeast would be in shape for carbonation. I activated this yeast pack and added just half of it along with the bottling sugar just before bottling. Now after several weeks, I have stout with a very nice head.

Fermentation started within 12 hours. Finished in 3 days and hit the FG at 1.013. The Scottish ale came out great.
