Cream Ale All Grain Beer Recipe Kit
One of the only beer styles truly born in the USA, this classic American Cream Ale is medium-light bodied and smooth, gold in color and low in bitterness.
Cream Ales played a brief, but shining role in American beer history. As crisp, clean pilsners gained popularity in the US thanks to the influence of German immigrants, American ale-makers responded with a style that mimicked the lighter-tasting lagers sweeping the nation. Though nowhere near as wildly popular, Cream Ales remained an easy-drinking specialty style in the Eastern US for years to come.
Like the original, our Cream Ale is medium-bodied and smooth on the palate, gold in color and low in bitterness. Custom-built with quality ingredients, the recipe kit includes a specialty grain blend that adds some complexity with a clean, sweet malt profile and a hint of buttered toast in the aroma and flavor. A homebrewed "lawnmower beer," Cream Ale is pretty hard to beat as a summertime thirst-quencher.

I’m new to brewing, this was my 3rd batch and first all grain. The previous kit were extract and had excellent instructions, this all grain kit instructions were minimal at best, I guess when doing all grain, Biab, you’re supposed to know wtf to do.... customer support was responsive, but way too vague... for me anyways... I was able to google search the answers, and the beer turned out good. I won’t buy again and I’ll go to my local vender when buying all grain kits so I can get the skinny...
As usual, I purchased a 5 gal all grain kit and split to brew two 2.5 gal batches. Always do first one per the recipe and find some way to tweak the second. Finished second brew with late addition of 1 oz El Dorado. Both beers are very drinkable and I must admit it is a toss up on which I like best. Cheers Northern Brewer Team!
Was super excited about this beer. This was the first that I’ve fruited. Excited how the gravities turned out as well as everything else, just feel the beer was missing something.
Taste amazing with about a month in the keg to mellow
This beer is super good and strong. We had stopped doing gravity reads a while back because we are going to drink any beer we make regardless of ABV. This beer has made us reconsider. I am a larger man and drank 3 of these only to decide that I will sleep on a couch and not drive. Good beer. Get it. Make it. Drink it.
