Product details

The ultimate all-grain system for the aspiring pro brewer. Every component is commercial quality. Modeled from pilot batch systems used in some of our favorite homegrown craft breweries, the Megapot 1.2 System is designed for best-of-the-best expert homebrewers.

Master homebrewing with best-in-class technology. Every detail of MegaPot 1.2 ensures your beer is brewed the way you intend it to be: even-heating, plenty of head space, internal volume markings, built-in thermometer and ball valve, and a ratio scientifically ideal for eliminating wort loss to boil-off.

It's built for perfecting the most challenging aspects of brewing, from decoction mashing to flow rates, efficiency, extraction and beer recipe experimentation. Make your own recipes and then make them better than you ever dreamed possible.

Craft commercial-quality beer every time you brew thanks to a number of design features. Precision temperature control with direct-heating of the Mash Tun and Hot Liquor Tank. Sleek all-stainless components stand up to the rigors of heavy use. The no-clog Imperial Sparge Arm offers impressive extraction, paired with all-stainless ball valves for maximum flow control. Brew with extreme heat and pressure using all-silicone tubing that will not sag or kink. All the while, you'll be able to monitor flow and clarity through the translucent hose. Achieve consistent and repeatable results every time.

Pilot your first pro-grade batch with the system that is the foundation for a new generation of professional brewers.

Batch Sizes:

  • 10 Gallon System is ideal for 5 gallons of beer.
  • 15 Gallon System is ideal for 5-10 gallons of beer.
  • 20 Gallon System is ideal for 10-15 gallons of beer.
  • 30 Gallon System is ideal for 15-20 gallons of beer.

Note: If making mostly high gravity / high abv beers it is best to get the system that is double your batch size. The 20 Gallon system will be the best choice for high abv 10 gallon batches.

Switch to all grain

Used this bundle to switch from extract to all grain. Best beer I ever made. Nice equipment.

Great Kettles

For some background I upgrade from water coolers and a single pot to now three pots, utilizing the “center of gravity” for my heating element.

I toyed for a while with saving some extra money and buying two additional Gas One brew kettles from Amazon. I gotta say I’m very happy with the choice to spend a few hundred more. The craftsmanship of the Mega Pota is very clear right out the box. It heats evenly and comes with excellent valves. Taking apart to clean these items is much easier too from my Gas One kettle.
Overall really happy with the purchase. Only complaint was the lack of instructions installing the valves and thermometers. It is incredibly straight forward however it does seem overwhelming the first time you’re doing it (especially for the rookies like me). At the end of the day if I’m shelling out half a grand for something, I’d expect some decent instructions. However with all that said once you do it the first time it’s easy to repeat for future uses.

Overall a great system

I have no major issues with the system. I purchased the 15 gallon system because in my research people recommended to buy bigger in case you want to move above 5 gallon batches. The only issue with the 15 gallon system is when brewing 5 gallon batches the mash tun thermometer is too high. I wish it was off set and lower. Or you can mix and match there is really no reason to have a 15 Gallon mash tun with even to brew 10 gallon batches. If I had to do it again I would price out mixing and matching kettles. No instruction was a bit annoying but not a big deal with plenty of youtube videos to verify. The only part I verified was cutting the high temp hose to fit the false bottom.

MegaPot 1.2

I purchased a 15 gallon MegaPot 1.2 to go with my three tier brew sculpture. It came with 1/2" ball valve and weld less thermometer. I've brewed 2 batches since purchasing and so far I'm very satisfied.
