Product details

Small and mighty. Introducing the Northern Brewer 1 Gallon Mini Keg that packs the power of a draft system into a portable, compact 1-gallon keg.

A perfect way to split your larger batches into a more manageable size for on-the-go convenient homebrew or experimentation! Try any of our flavor additions; crystallized fruit, silver cloud flavors, oak, or spices, and that new batch of Kolsch can easily become a honey Kolsch or a grapefruit Kolsch on a small scale before you experiment with an entire 5-gallon batch.

Barely bigger than a milk jug, it slides straight onto a fridge shelf, pops in a cooler, or drops right into your trunk. From tailgating to camping, a picnic or a party, the Northern Brewer 1 Gallon Mini Keg paired with the Northern Brewer Mini Keg Dispensing Lid and Mini CO2 Regulator is the party-powering carbonation you need to have a good time, anytime and anywhere.

Prefer a more traditional ball lock style keg? Turn your Northern Brewer Mini Keg into the ultimate portable draft system with the Mini Keg Ball Lock Lid. With both gas and liquid ball lock posts, you have the most flexibility taking this on the go or experimenting with batches.

Has Potential...but One Big Drawback

This is a nice size to tote to a small parry, or to stash that extra brew you just don't want to bottle. My only complaint -- a big one -- is the plastic draw tube to get beer out of the keg. It curls. Once curled, it stays curled. This renders about 25% of your brew untouchable. If this had a metal tube reaching to the bottom of the keg, I'd give this six stars; alas, three It is.

1 gallon stainless keg

Just used it for Learn to Brew Day. It worked perfectly with my small regulator. Only needed 1 CO2. It kept the beer cold for hours 👍

Mini keg does the job

I am small volume extract Brewer. The 1 gallon capacity is just right for combined keg and bottle production. I am able to drink my product in 2 days with forced CO2 rather than bottle and wait 3 weeks for carbonation. Still have bottles ready for consumption once the kegs are depleted.

Great little keg!

I use mine to put homemade ginger ale in. The keg fits in my keezer on top of my regular beer kegs. Nothing like a bourbon and homemade ginger ale!

Sparkling wine

I used this to make sparkling wine. Added 1/4” tubing to the inlet to get the CO2 to come in at the bottom. Not sure yet if that made a difference but it worked great. It stayed sealed in the refrigerator for about two weeks without a noticeable leak. Easy enough to clean. Perfect for a small batch!
