Easy drinking high abv beer. Be careful how many you have if your brewing another batch!
This was my 3rd brew and 2nd all grain. Seems to be a middle point when it’s not quite ready and then too late in terms of drinking. Not happy with the nose or first sip. BUT... the finish is outstanding. Soft, round, Sweet, lemon, small hop bite. Like sucking in a lemon drop. You can also find the original recipe online and follow along with SL. I will try this one again and find a way to fix the front end. Suggestions?
The beer ended up being less abv than I intended, but most likely because I couldn’t keep my boil temp down on a hot day. I shared it with friends and family who enjoyed a Pandemic home brew.
Very happy with this beer. Great flavor with a refreshing citrus taste
Brewed this, kegged it, and drained the keg. No complaints and a lot of praise. It was sweet and I managed to squeeze out a little higher ABV than targeted. Even with a few adjustments (mistakes), I was more than satisfied. Shared it with friends, who told me they weren’t IPA lovers. They wanted a refill on the pint without hesitation. Cheers to the brewmasters who drew up the recipe. I will order again, once I drink all the Bridge Burner and Belgian Tripel and the Northy 12 and the Maypole Maibock. I’ve ordered a few from NB.
