Thanks for the hospitality Northern Brewer!
The three piece airlock that I purchased works awesome! I have read some bad reviews of people breaking them but all I had to do in order to avoid that issue is simply lubricate the stem before sliding it into the grommet...water worked for me.

As expected
Looked and worked as expected. Seems like a great upgrade from the basic Airlock.

Less pressure
These vent much easier than the s type bubbler airlock. Was using the bubbler but it looked like it was holding too much pressure so I switched to this 3-piece. It's purring right along now. Should make for a more complete secondary when the fermentation slows down.

A+ Airlock
It is made of study plastic so it can do it's job. I have a bad habit of breaking the S Bubble type trying to get them out of the stopper, but these ones can take a licking and keep on bubbling.

Is this glass or plastic?
A shopper on Feb 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Plastic and I find it easier to clean then other formats. It comes apart and all the part are easy to clean.
Does the cap go on top of the airlock when in use? Would that create pressure?
A shopper on Mar 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The cap should stay on the top when in use. It has several small holes in it that allow gas to escape but prevent the water inside from quickly spilling out if tipped or jostled.
Not bubbling like the bubbler airlock. Is this normal? (yes I know silly question)
Jeremy D on Apr 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Assuming that there is active fermentation in your fermenter you likely need more liquid in your airlock. There is a fill line on the airlock a little more than halfway up the side. You will find that when fermentation has slowed, a bubbler airlock does allow you to more easily “see” low amounts of CO2 being released. You just have to look a little closer with a 3 piece airlock.

Big Mouth Bubbler® Universal Lid - Single Port
BEST ANSWER: I've never put the airlock into the dishwasher. I have always had washed with warm water. At the end of the day the most important thing is to make sure all airlock pieces and the rubber gromet air put into sanitizer before being placed on the fermenter
We just purchased this kit to make 5 gallon batches. Now, we are trying to determine what additional equipment will be needed to make a 1 gallon batch instead. So far we have the 2 gallon kettle, Little Big Mouth Bubbler and airlock (fermentation), and 2 gallon bucket (bottling) which I have referenced below. Is there any siphoning/tubing, etc. we will need for this smaller set up that we cannot use from the 5 gallon Brew Share Enjoy Starter Kit? Thanks!

BEST ANSWER: I went from 5 gallon to 1 gallon brewing some time ago. Since then I have moved to 3 gallon brewing. My point is I'm working off of memory. From memory I think the only additional equipment I needed was the fermenting bucket. I also bought a 1 gallon carboy that needed a new rubber stopper but the airlocks from the 5 gallon still worked fine. I used the same hoses/tubing. As far as I can remember all I needed additionally was the 1) bucket. 2)carboy 3) rubber stopper for the carboy
Is there a fill line?
A shopper on Jan 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There is a fill line, yes. I like these airlocks and use them exclusively.
is the cap with a hole for the jug inc
K O on Dec 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, you have to purchase a rubber stopper to fit the jug or carboy opening that has a hole through the stopper, and then insert the assembled airlock into the hole.
Will this fit a number 7 stopper?
A shopper on Aug 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi there, this will fit in any of our drilled stoppers, including no. 7. Cheers!
