1/2 Gallon Clear Glass Jug

Pretty standard and worked well. Used two to split a 1.5 gallon batch. Just right.

I use mine for iced tea. Seems sturdy, good price, nice in-between size.

So you probably won't find yourself fermenting anything in this jug, but it has its other uses. I use these to store, transport and serve different brews, while other friends keep them on hand for yeast starting and various other tasks. I recommend the average brewer keep one or two of these on hand.
