Auto Siphon - 1/2" racking cane
One stroke of the racking cane/piston assembly will start a siphon when immersed in as little as six inches of beer or wine; less than six inches may require a second stroke.
Auto Siphon includes a removable diverter tip to minimize sediment pickup. Plastic construction; can be disassembled for cleaning.
NOTE: It is highly recommended that you use 7/16" ID tubing with the 1/2" Auto-Siphon. Simply dip the tubing in warm water to soften it enough to slip over the end.
The product works great. I would say the description about a flick of the wrist is misleading. It's more of a pumping, but if you can figure out how to order this, then you can figure out how to use it.
When I ordered a couple buckets, some other things and this auto siphon Norther Brewer wrote back and asked what size I wanted. An odd question, but I replied the one that fits the 6 gallon bucket I ordered.
This thing is about two and a half feet long, probably for racking out of a large Sparklets bottle type carboy, not for a 6 gallon bucket.
I suppose it is a good auto siphon but not what I wanted. Minus a star for customer service.
Check valve falls out cleaning. Very difficult to replace.
Works great especially in this time when we should remain sanitary. A few pumps and the wine begins the racking process. Definitely did the job for me and no more siphoning by mouth.
