Product details

Dried bitter orange peel gives a citrusy, herbal aroma commonly used in Belgian Witbier, Grand Crus and other light-colored styles. Use a larger amount for a noticeable orange flavor/aroma, or a smaller amount for a more delicate suggestion. Works well with classic European hops as well, or in English summer ale.

How to use Bitter Orange Peel?
To add a citrus punch to your home brew add at least 1 once during the last 2-5 minutes of the boil.

Worked for my Witbier

I used about 0.5 oz of these to our 5 gallon brew with about 5 minutes left in the boil. The Witbier came out great. When I opened the package, the aroma was very intense and pleasing. It worked great for us.

Bitter Orange Peel

There alternatives, zest, fresh peel, or the bitter peel I purchased all for my Hoegaarten clone. Added with ten minutes of finishing the boil. 1 oz in 5 gallons is a good balance.

Gave a great flavor to the beer.
