made good beer, but how much of the end results was due to the DME is unknown.

Sticky fingers

Maybe sticky, but essential to yeast propagation and bottle conditioning. I primed with DME for years, then I got a stir plate and began growing my yeasts. I use DME to begin the brew and I use it to finish. Add a bit of nutrient to the yeast wort and a bit of CBC-1 to the primer wort. Magic!

Malt As Light as Thin Air

Was used to make a New England IPA. So the Pilsen DME played second fiddle to the flaked oats, the wheat malt and 4 varieties of hops. The final product, which I’m calling Headstrong Haze, has gotten universal thumbs up.

Great malt

I grow my own hops and used a pound of the dry malt to top off the dark brew I make. It is one of the best beers I’ve crafted and I’ve been brewing since 1996.

Briess Pilsen Light DME

Good stuff. Great service. Used it to make 2 radlers. 1 Pineapple clove & 1 ginger lemon. Not quite done yet, but they smell great & look happy!
