Chocolate Milk Stout BIAB Beer Recipe Kit
A milk stout (brewed with lactose sugar for body and residual sweetness) laced with pure cacao nibs in secondary, this tenebrous concoction is rich and heady. Look for an opaque ebony pint capped with dark foam and a flavor reminiscent of straight espresso laced with chocolate liqueur and sweetened with turbinado sugar. Very full-bodied, round, and filling with bittersweet hints around the edges. Excellent as a nourishing restorative or as an ice cream topping.
All kits yield 3 gallons and include blended grain malts, hops, and complete instructions. All-grain kits use malted grain as the base for the finished beer; in addition to familiarity with basic brewing techniques and the equipment for fermenting, siphoning, and bottling, you will also need equipment for brew-in-a-bag all-grain brewing.

The instructions I received were for a different size batch and were incomplete- no instructions on how much lactose to use etc, compared to the complete instructions I later found online. This did result in a bit of issues because I ended up using too much lactose, changing the overall balance of the beer too much towards sweetness, in my opinion. Otherwise great beer. A joy to brew and a good introduction to using cacao nibs.
Very tasty. Not even close to too much chocolate flavor.
This was my first ever home-brew, and it was a great experience. The directions were great and easy to follow, and the ingredients were first class. The pricing is also spectacular considering the extra lactose and chocolate that is included. The only somewhat tricky part is the cocoa addition. I put the whole bag in after primary was finished for about a week. As the beer has aged I think the chocolate comes through on the nose less and less. Probably should have left the cacao in longer. Overall really good beer!
This kit came out very, very well! A quite delicious sweet stout and everyone that had it gave high marks! You won't be disappointed.
This beer came out great, my best brew yet. It's so good that I bought it again, this time with some extra grain to get a higher gravity beer and more mouthfeel to it. Highly recommend!
