Standing brave in the space of traditional porters, Koa Coconut Porter boldly flaunts a mighty dose of tropical coconut. Solid Porter

Fermented with Voss Kviek at around 70f. Turned out to be a pretty solid coconut porter. I ended up putting the coconut directly into the fermenter, and as such some came through to my keg. There was so much I wasn't sure what else to do, maybe I'll put a screen in between kegging next time.

My Wife's Favorite. Always on tap.

This recipe is perfect exactly as it is. I have made multiple batches, and it's always a crowd pleaser. It's a smooth porter with a nice hint of coconut. Let it condition for at least the suggested timeframe. This beer will make beer-drinkers out of non-beer-drinkers.

Fantastic Porter

This beer came out great! It tastes better than a lot of Porters I've had at big microbreweries. I would definately make this again. Nice winter beer.

Good porter flavor

Liked the taste of the porter but the coconut flavor was hard to discern. I added the toasted coconut flakes to 2 bags during the addition and they floated on top of the fermenter. Next time I’d weight the bags so they sank and I think more coconut flavor would be imparted.
I kegged this brew and the rich porter flavor developed with time. My wife liked it and she is not a porter fan.
