Big Mouth Bubbler® EVO 2 - Siphonless 6.5 Gallon Glass Fermenter with Harness
The newest innovation in glass carboys, our Big Mouth Bubbler® EVO 2 Glass Fermenter now features siphonless transfer! Gone are the days of fumbling with hard-to-sanitize racking canes. Recently re-engineered with the help of world-class Polish master glassmakers to ensure sturdy, solid, superior craftsmanship. With graduated volume markings and our Big Mouth Bubbler® Universal Lid, this is the ultimate solution to your fermentation and transfer headaches. Problem solved.
The new Big Mouth Bubbler® Universal Lid fits all Big Mouth Bubbler® Fermenters. The Big Mouth Bubbler® Universal Lid is just like a traditional carboy bung, only bigger! Just as easy to sanitize and set in place too. Removable ribbed silicone ring ensures a positive seal to keep out pests, while the non-threaded design allows the lid to move preventing an out-of-control fermentation from dangerously pressurizing your fermenter.
Now Includes the Big Mouth Bubbler® carrying harness for lifting, transporting and ensuring your Big Mouth Bubbler lid stays firmly in place during even the most intense fermentations.
Fight oxidation and contamination by keeping your fermentor closed for transfers. Never open the lid to insert an auto-siphon, just turn a valve and you're set. Best of all, you'll have clearer beer. Gently rack liquid from the spout into secondary or bottle straight from primary or secondary without disturbing the trub. Make your brew day easier and your beer better with the siphonless Big Mouth Bubbler® EVO 2.
*Pro Tip: Save your box and use it as a cover for your fermenter!
6.5 Gallon fermenters are perfect for the primary stage of beer or wine fermentation. The extra head space allows for the production of krausen on a 5 gallon batch of beer.

Great for adding ingredients during secondary fermentation!
Very nice fermenters, just switched from buckets to glass, and I'm a happy brewer. Need to learn how to harness best, I messed with the handles config a bit, and that made it a lot more stable.
Very nice but wish it would have had a screw on top instead of rubber seal. Have to have straps on tight or the cover comes up
The quality of this bigmouth bubbler is excellent. I'm very happy with the spout on the bottom. But with the carboy filled with five gallons of beer (when in the harness) it is top heavy. Because the center of gravity is too high, the carboy almost flipped over when lifting it by the handles. the handles need to be attached much higher. This problem (the harness design) is terribly dangerous this way, with the possibility of broken glass. it needs to be corrected, before someone is injured or possibly killed.
I'd used traditional carboys for years, but got tired of cleaning them through that little hole. Then I switched to plastic wide mouths, that worked great until I had started having some funky batches from the interior scratches. Switched to this glass one and never looking back.
The lid doesn't like to stay down, but you can fiddle with the harness and get it sealing better than the threaded ones. If you are having issues, keep adjusting the harness. If you don't want to use the harness, get a plate weight for a barbell.
