Stainless false bottom fits 7.5 gallon BoilerMaker brew kettle for conversion to a mash tun for All-Grain brewing.

The patent pending Blichmann false bottom combines the high efficiency of a perforated false bottom with the clog resistance of a slotted false bottom.

These heavy duty false bottoms are recommended for the mash tun only - when used in the boil kettle, the solid construction can disrupt the convection currents in the kettle, interfering with the boil and causing a risk of scorching.

Blichmann recommends the Hopblocker for use in the boil kettle.

works great

7.5 gallon bottom also fits a boilermaker G2 kettle. Maybe they're the same exact thing, but words matter when deciding if it's the right accessory. I asked them to update the description to include this detail but it probably won't happen.
I disagree with the other review because the finish on the piece is nice. No sharp edges. It is made of stamped stainless steel, so the weld spatter mentioned must be for another size kettle.

Very effective but lacks fit and finish.

This false bottom is great at filtering the grain, and produces crystal clear wort once the first runnings are pulled (usually holding a good amount of grain dust). This would be a 5 star rating, but the false bottom came with cracked welds and weld spatter. For something with the Blichmann name, I expected it to be flawless.
